Will Aid November 2024
You can have your will written by a local solicitor with Will Aid and help the work of 91¶ÌÊÓƵapp.
What is Will Aid?
Will Aid was founded in 1988 following the example set by Band Aid and Live Aid. Over 30 years later, Will Aid continues to run each November and solicitors across the UK agree to waive their usual fee and give up their time to take part in the scheme.
Will Aid is a great opportunity to have a simple will written or updated professionally by a solicitor. Instead of paying the solicitor’s fee, you are invited to make a voluntary donation to Will Aid.
How are donations used?
The donations raised from Will Aid are divided between 9 charities, including 91¶ÌÊÓƵapp. The suggested voluntary donation is £100 for a simple will, or £180 for mirror will (a pair of simple wills).
Donations made through Will Aid help 91¶ÌÊÓƵapp to provide the support millions of older people rely on every year.
How do I take part?
Visit the Will Aid website from September onwards to see a list of participating solicitors. Once you have found a solicitor in your area, you contact them directly to book your Will Aid appointment for November. Appointments fill up fast, so we advise booking early to avoid disappointment.
Useful information when writing your will
If you choose to write your will through Will Aid we hope you’ll consider leaving a gift in your will to 91¶ÌÊÓƵapp, although there is no obligation to do so. After taking care of your loved ones, a gift in your will to 91¶ÌÊÓƵapp could make a real difference to the lives of older people who have no one else to turn to.
From providing weekly friendship calls, to helping vulnerable older people access the vital advice and support they need - a gift in your will to 91¶ÌÊÓƵapp could be a lifeline for anyone who is struggling.
