End of life issues

Thinking about life ending can be difficult – many of tend to not think about it until we have to. But it's a good idea to give yourself time to think and talk through all of your options. Planning ahead can help you feel more in control and give you and your loved ones peace of mind.

Making a will

Making a will is the only way to make sure your money, property, possessions and investments go to the people and causes you care about.

Power of attorney

A power of attorney allows someone to make decisions on your behalf, in case there comes a time when you're no longer able – or no longer want – to make your own decisions.

Financial support

If your spouse, civil partner or cohabiting partner has died, you can claim Bereavement Support Payment to ease some of the financial worries you may be facing.

Living wills

Making an advance decision (sometimes called a 'living will') allows you to choose and explain which medical treatments you don't want in the future.

When someone dies

When someone dies, there are certain things that have to be done, but this often comes at an incredibly difficult time. We can help you think through the next steps.

Coping with bereavement
